Behind the Shift with LaLa Jenkins: From Sorority to Surrender

How One Woman Turned Down Idolatry, Turned Up Her Faith, and Is Sounding the Alarm for a Lost Generation

Hey Queens of Purpose,

In this candid and convicting edition of Behind the Shift, a new series, we sit down with LaLa Jenkins—a bold woman of God who has traded performance for presence and is now on a mission to help others do the same.

From leaving behind her sorority ties to cultivating a deep relationship with the Holy Spirit, LaLa shares her personal journey of surrender, healing, and purpose. We talk about the power of studying the Bible in context, what to do when you’re still waiting for a prophetic word to come to pass, and how to find joy as a Christian woman without compromising your convictions.

LaLa opens up about the moment she realized her life had been built on idols and how God gently, but firmly, called her into deeper truth. Her testimony is a reminder that when God asks for something, He’s not taking something from you, He’s making space for something greater.

Whether you're seeking community, longing for clarity, or just tired of shallow faith, this conversation will remind you: revival starts one surrendered heart at a time.

Let’s just say…the enemy did not want this interview to happen. 😅 From tech glitches to dropped connections, we had to stop, regroup, and hit record again (don’t forget to check out the second part above). But listen, God always gets the final say. What was supposed to be a quick convo turned into two hours of straight Holy Ghost fire. You’ll laugh, take notes, and probably hit replay more than once. Don’t miss it!
