Everybody’s Outside… But You Don’t Have to Be
How to stay planted in purpose when the crowd’s moving reckless
Question:
“Big Sis, everyone around me is chasing popularity and doing things their way. How do I stay true to God and not get lost in the crowd?”
Big Sis’s Response:
Sis, I feel you. Everybody’s outside, but that don’t mean you gotta follow the crowd. Psalm 1:1-3 reminds us the real blessed ones don’t hang with the wicked, mockers, or messy folks. They stay rooted in the Word, and God keeps ’em flourishing—like trees planted by streams, never dry, always producing.
Here’s something to ask yourself: What are you willing to sacrifice now to lay the foundation for your faith legacy later? Remember Mary—only 14 years old—carrying a huge promise from God. Don’t think your younger years are just for playing around or wasting time.
And if you’re outside, make sure it’s doing something meaningful and worthy, something that won’t stain your Godly reputation. Christ > culture every day.
Who you listen to matters. Choose God over the crowd. Stay planted in purpose, sis. Your roots will grow deep, and your life will overflow in ways the world can’t even touch.
Closing Encouragement:
Keep holding on, Sis. You’re planting seeds now that will bloom into a legacy God uses for generations. It won’t always be easy, but every step in obedience is worth it. Remember, you’re never alone in this walk. God’s got you, and so do I.
Prayer:
Father, I lift up every young woman reading this. Help her to stand strong when the world pulls her in every direction. Root her deep in Your Word and plant her firmly in Your purpose. Guard her heart and guard her reputation. Give her the courage to choose You above the crowd and the strength to walk faithfully through every season. May her life be a tree that bears fruit for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
