Welcome to the New Girls Anthem Newsletter
The scary moment of new beginnings...
Hey Girls Anthem family. I pray everyone has had an amazing 2024 so far. If I’m honest, I know most people would be in agreement with me that the first four months of this year has been rough, whether emotionally, financially, spiritually or even physically.
The spiritual warfare for many of us has been almost unbearable. It’s like the enemy could feel that this year is going to end with many of us crossing over into the promises of God for our lives and he decided to throw everything at us.
When God told me to relaunch my newsletter, I honestly felt like I had nothing left to give to others. I’ve poured so much into not just Girls Anthem, but life, over the last several years that I just want to step into what He has for me (we’re honest over here at Girls Anthem, even through our obedience).
I believe we have to be real with ourselves, and with God, that while we understand the process, testing seasons, pruning hour - and all of the above, there are times we feel like we’ve been so processed and so pruned that we at least want to step into something that He has for us.
I’m not talking about a counterfeit blessing. No. I’m talking about seeing even a fraction of what He promised and to see why the enemy has been fighting us so hard. Does anybody else feel me on that? I’m not talking to people who feel entitled or that feel like their obedience is only predicated on God’s response to them through rewards.
I’m talking to my sisters in Christ who understand that we didn’t ask for the path that God has us walking; we submit and obey out of our love for Him; we truly do this Kingdom thing from the heart and only want to see people and our families come to Christ; however, God continues to speak to us about the promises of marriage, financial increase through business, land ownership, wealth transfers, home ownership (whatever your promise is). He won’t let us forget them because He’s the God of “yes” and “amen”.
If you’re that woman of God, then this newsletter is for you. I truly believe that we can access all God has for us by living a completely surrendered life to God, without compromise. That means we show up in all of who we are, but trust God to change us along the way as we submit to Him.
We don’t shy away from our scars, trauma or habits, but we surrender them to Him and press into whatever instruction He gives us so we can be changed by His love and grace. If that’s you, then continue to stick with us here at Girls Anthem.
Our new audio newsletter, The Voice of Encouragement, releases Monday, June 3rd. The five-minute audio newsletter will drop every Monday and I pray that it meets you right where you are. Keep your eyes on eternity, but continue to prepare for whatever God has promised because those promises are for His purpose.
With Kingdom Love,
Mya Kay
